This week we talked about the first day of spring and how to look for signs of spring outdoors. We made umbrellas out of wax paper and tissue paper and hung them in our window. We read a book "Aliens Love Underpants". It was a very silly book!

Alfie the monkey visited the kids during library time. Many of them were curious as to who was behind the curtain :)
We played with green spaghetti to see how it feels.
We got to enjoy the warm weather outdoors a couple of days. Yay!

When our class returned from library on Thursday we found that a leprechaun had visited our room and made a mess...turning over chairs and scattering our Easter grass. His footprints were all over the table.
The leprechaun did leave us gold coins everywhere.
We had to pick up his mess and put things back where they belonged.
The kids all got a chance to play Mrs. Deb's guitar that starts with a G.
When it wasn't their turn to play the guitar they danced. We have some pretty good dancers!

This week we learned the letter C and the number 7. We made crabs out of a C and caterpillars out of pom poms. Check them out on the walls.

We have a couple of new centers in our room: a sand table and rock box. The kids really enjoy those. They can also look for "gold" coins in the grass box in anticipation of St. Patrick's Day.

We really hope that the leprechaun doesn't visit us next week! Last year he visited and really messed up our classrooms.

We had fun playing Alphabet Bingo so we can learn to recognize our letters.

Last week we reviewed the letters O, Q, D and the numbers 4, 5, 6. We learned that on the 7th day of creation God rested after seeing all that He had made was good. We celebrated Dr. Seuss's birthday by pinning the green eggs and ham on a plate. Check out the ducks we made hanging in our room for the letter D.

We are going on a bear hunt with our flashlights.

Still looking for the bear but all we found were teachers.
We made owl puppets for the letter O.
 Our owl puppet show.
Mrs. Vickie was a Cat in the Hat for her birthday. Mrs. Deb brought in a delicious cake and cupcakes for us.
